Oracle Cloud Senior Engineer - Secret Clearance

Dunhill Government Solutions is hiring an Oracle Cloud Senior Engineer to coordinate implementations and manage solutions within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) on a federal defense program, including containerized applications, database management and OCI service optimization. This is a fully remote (telework) role.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement and manage solutions on OCI to meet business and technical requirements
• Lead containerization initiatives and manage containerized workloads within OCI
• Oversee the deployment, configuration and optimization of OCI services
• Administer and maintain cloud-based databases, ensuring high availability and performance
• Implement and manage Oracle Data Safe for data security and compliance
• Serve as the primary liaison to Oracle Cloud support for issue resolution and service optimization
• Analyze and optimize OCI cost models to ensure efficient cloud resource utilization
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust cloud solutions and support ongoing cloud operations

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience administering and engineering solutions within OCI, including provisioning and scaling cloud resources
• Strong background in containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
• Experience providing services in a multitenant OCI environment
• Experience with the Oracle DoD Realm of OCI
• Experience with a DoD enterprise cloud program's use of OCI
• Active Secret security clearance
• Current CompTIA Security+ certification, or one of the following DoD 8570 baseline-approved certifications: CISSP, CCNA, CAP, CASP+ CE, CCISO, CND, CSSLP, CySA+, GSLC or SSCP

Preferred: Familiarity with integrating OCI services; experience managing cloud-based databases and using Oracle Data Safe for security monitoring; cloud cost-optimization strategies; working with vendor support teams; DevOps practices and CI/CD-adjacent workflows; high-availability architecture and database performance optimization.

Location: Remote (telework), United States.

Clearance: Active Secret clearance required. US Citizenship required.

Compensation: $115,600 - $160,000 per year
