Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist/Engineer to join our team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling. You will be responsible for extracting insights and knowledge from large datasets, developing predictive models, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive data-informed decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement data pipelines to collect, clean, and process large volumes of data
• Develop and deploy machine learning models to predict trends and insights
• Analyze complex datasets to identify patterns and relationships
• Create visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders
• Collaborate with software engineers to integrate data solutions into existing systems
• Stay current with emerging technologies and methodologies in data science

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
• Proven experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or Java
• Strong understanding of statistical analysis and experimental design
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js
• Knowledge of database systems and SQL
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka
• Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
• Prior experience in a data-driven environment
