We have an outstanding Contract position for a Cryptography Subject Matter Expert to join a leading Company located in the Laurel, MD surrounding area.

Pay Rate: $50.00 - $150.00 

**US Citizenship is required.**

 **Candidate must possess an Active Top Security Clearance.**

We are seeking a Cryptography Subject Matter Expert to support advanced research and operational capabilities across government and defense missions. Our work spans algorithms, software design, protocol understanding, and applied cryptologic technologies in both laboratory and operational environments. We need someone who can help solve technically challenging problems, support mission-critical prototypes, and collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop innovative capabilities.

Job Responsibilities:  

• You will collaborate with software developers, mathematicians, and engineers to develop new cryptographic capabilities.
• You will apply scripting, automation, and development tools to improve technical workflows and data analysis.
• You will contribute technical expertise to research, prototype development, and operational demonstrations.

Basic Hiring Criteria:

• Possess a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Cybersecurity, a related field, or a combination of equivalent experience, education, and certifications.
• Have 3+ years of experience supporting cryptologic, SIGINT, communications, or related technical mission areas.
• Are proficient with Linux environments and scripting languages such as Python.
• Have experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Are able to obtain a Final Top Secret level security clearance by your start date.

Desired Qualifications:

• Possess a Master's or Ph.D. in a related technical discipline.
• Have 5+ years supporting cryptologic programs.
• Have experience with protocol reverse engineering or applied cryptanalysis.
• Have experience developing software using memory-safe languages.
