We have an outstanding Contract position for a Development Operations Engineer to join a leading Company located in the Laurel, MD surrounding area.

Pay Rate: $50.00 - $150.00 

**US Citizenship is required.**

 **Candidate must possess an Active Top Secret Security Clearance.**

We are seeking a Development Operations Engineer to help automate and improve software development workflows supporting advanced research and operational systems. Our work spans offline cloud, on-premises, and government computing environments where efficient software delivery and infrastructure automation are critical to mission success. We need someone who enjoys solving deployment challenges, improving development pipelines, and enabling engineering teams to build software faster and more reliably.

Job Responsibilities:  

• You will develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting software delivery and software quality best practices.
• You will automate infrastructure deployment using Infrastructure as Code tools.
• You will support Docker environments for project teams.
• You will improve system monitoring, deployment automation, and operational efficiency.

Basic Hiring Criteria:

• Possess a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, a related field, or a combination of equivalent experience, education, and certifications.
• Have 3+ years building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Have experience with GitLab, GitHub Actions, or similar automation platforms.
• Have experience with Docker and Linux system administration.
• Have experience automating deployments through scripting or Infrastructure as Code.
• Are able to obtain a Final Top Secret level security clearance by your start date.

Desired Qualifications:

• Possess a Master's in Computer Science or related field.
• Have 5+ years supporting enterprise DevOps environments.
• Have experience with Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Helm, or Kubernetes administration.
• Have experience with AWS or hybrid cloud environments.
