Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cryptography Subject Matter Expert to join our team in Laurel, MD. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cryptographic principles, algorithms, and their practical applications in securing sensitive data and communications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and evaluate cryptographic systems and protocols to ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
• Provide expert guidance and consultation on cryptographic solutions for various projects and initiatives.
• Develop and maintain cryptographic standards and best practices within the organization.
• Conduct research and stay current with emerging cryptographic technologies and threats.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cryptographic solutions into existing systems.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior cryptographers and other team members.
• Assess and mitigate cryptographic risks and vulnerabilities in existing systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cryptography and information security.
• In-depth knowledge of symmetric and asymmetric cryptographic algorithms, including AES, RSA, ECC, and Diffie-Hellman.
• Experience with cryptographic libraries and tools such as OpenSSL, Bouncy Castle, and Crypto++
• Strong understanding of cryptographic protocols, including TLS, IPsec, and SSH.
• Familiarity with cryptographic standards and regulations, such as NIST, FIPS, and ISO/IEC 19790.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Clearance Requirement: Active Secret clearance required.
