Job Description:

The Quality Control Inspector II ensures that component parts, assemblies and major sub-systems meet internal and customer quality standards.  

Job Responsibilities and Required Skills:

• Reading and understanding blueprints, schematics and working QC instructions.
• Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspection/test on parts, assemblies, and major sub-systems.
• Maintaining a high level of communication with all departments involved in the manufacturing process.
• Ability to use physical dimension test measuring devices, calipers, and micrometers.
• Recording inspection and test results in the inspection database.
• Document and report on nonconformances.
• Working with Excel spreadsheets and use MS Word to create documents such as Quality Inspection Checklists.
• Training and mentoring of Quality Control Inspector I.
• Managing calibration of equipment.  

Desired Skills:

• Work experience or Certificates of Training in Physical dimensional Calibration, Certification of Quality disciplines, TQM, and general knowledge of ISO 9001:2000.
• Certified Quality Technician by ASQ; Certified Quality Inspector by ASQ.
• Working knowledge of JIRA and CostPoint.
