Job Description
Position summary. Supports daily warehouse and supply operations through material identification, sourcing, requisition processing, shipment tracking, and inventory support.
Key responsibilities
Identify and source material from commercial or federal sources.
Submit, track, and expedite material orders using MILSTRIP or DLMS requisition transactions.
Monitor shipment progress and trace material moving through commercial carriers and the Defense Transportation System for CONUS and OCONUS delivery.
Assist with shipboard inventories, storeroom mock-ups and layouts, and material on-load/off-load activities as assigned.
Maintain accurate system records and support inventory accuracy, warehouse organization, and customer inquiries.
Minimum Qualifications
6 years of experience providing warehouse support services to MSC, DoD, Merchant Marine, the U.S. Coast Guard, or commercial ship operating companies.
4 years of experience in material identification and sourcing from commercial or federal sources.
4 years of experience in material order submission, tracking, and expediting using DoD/Navy MILSTRIP or DLA DLMS requisition transactions.
4 years of experience in material shipping, monitoring, tracing, and tracking using commercial sources and the Defense Transportation System for CONUS and OCONUS delivery.
2 years of experience conducting shipboard inventories, developing storeroom mock-ups/layouts, and supporting material on-loads/off-loads.
Current forklift operator certificate and license.
