X8 is seeking an exceptional Technical Recruiter to identify and secure elite cyber and technology talent supporting critical Department of Defense and Intelligence Community missions. As a boutique cyber firm, we value technical credibility, precision, discretion, and relationships over high-volume recruiting.
The ideal candidate is a strategic, hands-on talent advisor who excels in competitive cleared markets, understands complex mission requirements, and delivers a first-class candidate experience.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
• Own full-cycle recruiting for specialized cyber, software, cloud, data, engineering, and intelligence positions supporting federal missions.
• Execute sophisticated sourcing strategies through ClearanceJobs, LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, referrals, and established technical networks.
• Conduct rigorous prescreens to assess technical depth, mission alignment, clearance requirements, compensation, and candidate motivation.
• Build enduring pipelines of high-demand TS/SCI, CI Polygraph, and Full Scope Polygraph talent.
• Advise program leaders and hiring managers on market conditions, hiring strategy, and precise candidate alignment.
• Drive high-priority requisitions with urgency, accountability, accurate ATS records, and clear stakeholder communication.
• Produce actionable compensation intelligence and salary surveys to guide competitive offers and workforce planning.
• Deliver a high-touch candidate experience from first contact through offer and onboarding transition.
WHAT REQUIRED SKILLS YOU'LL BRING
• Demonstrated success recruiting hard-to-find technical professionals in cyber, IT, engineering, or federal contracting.
• Ability to translate complex technical requirements into targeted searches and distinguish practical expertise from keywords.
• Strong understanding of DoD/IC clearance environments, including TS/SCI and CI/Full Scope Polygraph talent markets.
• Advanced sourcing skills using Boolean search, ClearanceJobs, LinkedIn Recruiter, and applicant tracking systems.
• Ability to lead substantive technical qualification conversations and evaluate mission-relevant experience.
• Outstanding consultative communication, persuasive outreach, relationship management, and professional discretion.
• Proven ability to prioritize multiple mission-critical searches and consistently deliver recruiting results.
• Experience interpreting compensation benchmarks, talent availability, and market constraints.
• Confidence partnering with program leadership, HR, and senior decision-makers as a trusted recruiting advisor.
• Strong reporting discipline, organization, and proficiency with recruiting technology and Microsoft Office.
• Established recruiting experience in offensive cyber, CNO/CNE, software engineering, cloud, or data science.
• Experience with JobDiva, talent mapping, federal capture staffing, employer branding, or recruiting process improvement.

COMPENSATION
• $70,000+ (depending on education and experience)
• Commission Structure and Bonus potential
