Position Summary

KBR is seeking a Ground System Acquisition SETA to provide Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support to an Intelligence Community customer responsible for the acquisition, integration, modernization, and sustainment of critical ground enterprise systems. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to Government leadership, providing acquisition, systems engineering, and technical oversight support throughout the system lifecycle.

This role supports the planning, development, procurement, integration, testing, and deployment of mission-critical ground systems that enable intelligence collection, processing, exploitation, dissemination, and mission operations. The candidate will work closely with Program Managers, Systems Engineers, Contracting Officers, architects, developers, and mission stakeholders to ensure program success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide SETA support for Government acquisition programs supporting enterprise ground systems.
  • Support development of acquisition strategies, acquisition plans, Statements of Work (SOWs), Performance Work Statements (PWSs), and technical evaluation criteria.
  • Participate in source selections, proposal evaluations, and technical assessments of contractor submissions.
  • Support all phases of the acquisition lifecycle including requirements development, design reviews, integration, testing, fielding, and sustainment.
  • Evaluate contractor performance against cost, schedule, technical, and risk objectives.
  • Review technical documentation, engineering artifacts, contract deliverables, and program milestone products.
  • Assist Government stakeholders with program execution, risk management, schedule development, and technical planning activities.
  • Support engineering review boards, technical exchange meetings, integrated product teams (IPTs), and program management reviews.
  • Assist in development of requirements documentation, CONOPS, interface definitions, and systems engineering products.
  • Support oversight of Agile development activities and software acquisition efforts involving enterprise ground systems.
  • Coordinate across multiple Government organizations, contractors, and mission partners to ensure successful delivery of system capabilities.
  • Prepare executive-level briefings, decision papers, and status reports for senior Government leadership.


Basic Compensation:

$169,000 - $206,000 USD annually

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity

  • Work Schedule: Full-time, on-site
  • Travel: Minimal


Required Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required for consideration.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Physics, Mathematics, Acquisition Management, or related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience supporting Intelligence Community or DoD acquisition programs.
  • Experience providing SETA support to Government program offices involved in Ground Station engineering efforts.
  • Knowledge of Federal, IC, or DoD acquisition processes and contract management.
  • Experience supporting development of acquisition documentation including SOWs, RFPs, CDRLs, and evaluation criteria.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering methodologies and lifecycle processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience supporting contractor technical reviews and program oversight activities.


Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of ground architecture, enterprise mission systems, cloud-based systems, command and control systems, or data processing environments.
  • DAWIA, FAC-C, PMP, INCOSE ASEP/CSEP, or similar professional certifications.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, DevSecOps environments, or software-intensive acquisitions.
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and requirements management platforms.
