We're looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals to join our client's team as a Corporate Law Clerk in Whitby, ON!

In this full-time, temporary to permanent role, you'll help our client with their clerical needs.

What You'll Be Responsible For:
  • Maintain corporate minute books, registers, and statutory records.
  • Prepare and file annual returns, notices, and other corporate documents with applicable government registries.
  • Draft and organize routine corporate documents, including resolutions, minutes, consents, share certificates, and officer and director changes.
  • Assist with incorporations, amalgamations, continuances, dissolutions, reorganizations, and extra-provincial registrations.
  • Support corporate transactions by preparing closing checklists, coordinating signatures, organizing closing documents, and updating minute books.
  • Conduct corporate searches and review registry records.
  • Track filing deadlines and maintain accurate matter and entity records.
  • Communicate with clients, colleagues, government offices, and external service providers.
  • Assist with billing, file opening, document management, and other administrative tasks as needed.
What We're Looking For:
  • A diploma, certificate, or equivalent training in law clerk studies or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience as a corporate law clerk, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.
  • Knowledge of corporate records, filings, and transaction support.
  • Familiarity with applicable corporate legislation and online filing systems.
  • Strong drafting, proofreading, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document-management systems.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and work independently as well as collaboratively.
Details:
• Pay Rate: $35-$45/hour
• Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm (in-office)
