General Duties:
Aleut is in search of a highly motivated individual to perform as the Deputy SEW Task Lead / Instructor supporting the 537th Training Squadron SEW Task Lead in the planning, coordination, and execution of SEW training programs while serving as a subject matter expert and classroom instructor. This role blends SEW expertise, instructional delivery, and leadership, ensuring high-quality curriculum development, instructor readiness, and mission-aligned training outcomes. The Deputy SEW Task Lead acts as a key liaison between instructors, leadership, and stakeholders to maintain operational continuity, instructional excellence, and compliance with organizational and contractual requirements.

This role blends SEW expertise, instructional delivery, and leadership, ensuring high-quality curriculum development, instructor readiness, and mission-aligned training outcomes. The Deputy SEW Task Lead acts as a key liaison between instructors, leadership, and stakeholders to maintain operational continuity, instructional excellence, and compliance with organizational and contractual requirements.
Specific duties:
Leadership & Program Support
- Serve as the secondary lead for SEW training operations, assuming Task Lead responsibilities when required.
- Assist with course scheduling, instructor assignments, and workload balancing to ensure uninterrupted training delivery.
- Support curriculum planning, updates, and alignment with approved learning objectives, standards, and mission requirements.
- Mentor and support instructors, fostering professional development and instructional consistency.
- Coordinate with leadership and stakeholders to address risks, changes, or resource constraints impacting training delivery.
Instruction & Curriculum Development
- Deliver SEW instruction across foundational and intermediate SEW topics.
- Develop, review, and maintain lesson plans, labs, assessments, and instructional materials.
- Ensure training content reflects current SEW threats, tools, and best practices.
- Provide hands-on guidance during labs and exercises, reinforcing real-world application of SEW concepts.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure courses comply with Performance Work Statement (PWS) contractual, academic, and organizational requirements.
- Participate in internal reviews, audits, and after-action reports to continuously improve training quality and instructor training methods.
- Track instructor performance, student feedback, and training metrics to support continuous improvement.
Collaboration & Communication
- Act as a central point of coordination between instructors, Task Lead, and program leadership.
- Communicate schedule changes, updates, and expectations clearly and professionally.
- Support a culture of accountability, inclusivity, and continuous improvement within the instructional team.
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in SEW instruction, training delivery, or SEW operations.
- Strong understanding of core SEW subsets including EW, PNT, SATCOM, SATC2, and blue systems for each subset.
- Experience supporting or leading teams in a training, academic, or operational environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, mission-focused environment.
- Requires professionalism, adaptability, and the ability to respond to last-minute changes.
- Commitment to upholding organizational values, security standards, and mission objectives.
- Skilled communicator, experienced in providing platform instruction to an academically diverse audience. Completion of Air Force Instructor Course or similar joint/civilian instructor course preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
- Active or current Top-Secret Clearance and SCI eligibility required.
Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution in relevant field or a bachelor’s degree and 8 years of additional experience may be substituted for education requirements.
- Years of Experience:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of SEW-related experience either in industry, academia, or with a U.S. Government agency
- Preferred Certifications:
- Prior experience as a SEW Instructor, Block Lead, or SME.
- Familiarity with federal, DoD, or government-contracted training environments.
- Experience developing SEW labs or scenario-based exercises.
- Experience mentoring junior instructors or technical staff.
Salary Range:
- $135,000 -- $142,000 (annually)
