The Building People, LLC, has a position open for a full-time Special Assistant in the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Critical Mineral and Energy Innovation (CMEI).
The Specialist Assistant will support the CMEI Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP) leadership in communicating the CMEI office's mission, activities, and goals externally and internally. The Special Assistant will support the FEMP Director and their team and have the opportunity to contribute to the day-to-day running of the office, accompany and preparation and support on external meetings and events, and coordinate high-level briefings and tasks across all levels of DOE and CMEI leadership by performing the following unclassified duties:

The Building People, LLC, has a position open for a full-time Special Assistant in the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Critical Mineral and Energy Innovation (CMEI).

- Manage taskers, briefing workflows, action tracking, administrative processes, front-office SOPs.
- FEMP leadership agenda development and circulation
- Shepherd FEMP memos through the right BB or Exec Sec processes.
- Serve as FEMP POC for records-management and Controlled Correspondence; own operational information requirements
- Serve as FEMP POC for onboarding/offboarding coordination and continuity planning.
- Serve as FEMP POC for fellowship planning, approval write ups, liaison with ORISE.
Required Experience & Skills
- 4 (four) years' experience. Master's Degree may be substituted for two (2) years of experience.
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Strong Written and Oral Communication Skills
- Strong Organization Skills
- Onsite Position in Washington DC
Preferred Experience & Skills
- Energy industry, federal government, knowledge a plus
Required Education
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree
