Job Description

Responsibilities

Arcfield is seeking a Cybersecurity Systems Engineer to provide Systems Engineering Technical Advisor (SETA) support for cybersecurity, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and Zero Trust activities across complex, mission-critical enterprise systems and platforms.

In this role, you will work alongside Government security professionals, systems engineers, architects, developers, and program teams to support the cybersecurity and authorization posture of enterprise capabilities. You will perform Information Assurance and RMF activities while also contributing to broader cybersecurity engineering, architecture, and Zero Trust initiatives.

The ideal candidate combines practical Information Assurance and RMF experience with a systems engineering mindset. You should be comfortable managing authorization activities and cybersecurity records, coordinating across technical and security stakeholders, identifying risks and dependencies, and translating cybersecurity requirements into practical actions that support both security and mission objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Information Assurance and cybersecurity systems engineering support for enterprise platforms and mission systems.
  • Perform day-to-day RMF and system authorization activities, including maintaining ATO documentation, ServiceNow (SNOW) records, POA&Ms, security controls, continuous monitoring artifacts, and tracking vulnerabilities, findings, and remediation activities.
  • Assess system changes, interfaces, software releases, network boundaries, and architecture modifications for cybersecurity risk and potential impacts to system authorization.
  • Coordinate with system owners, engineers, developers, external stakeholders, and Government cybersecurity organizations to resolve security issues and maintain system authorization and security posture.
  • Support implementation of cybersecurity requirements and Zero Trust principles across system architecture, integration, modernization, and software delivery activities.
  • Participate in cybersecurity and technical reviews and develop assessments, risk analyses, status updates, and recommendations that translate evolving cybersecurity policies, threats, and enterprise initiatives into actionable guidance.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Must possess and have the ability to maintain an active TS/SCI with Poly.
  • BS with 8-10 years of relevant experience, or MS with 6-8 years of relevant experience, or PhD with 3-5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience supporting cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and system authorization activities.
  • Working knowledge of RMF processes, security controls, system authorization, continuous monitoring, POA&M management, and cybersecurity risk management.
  • Experience developing, reviewing, and maintaining authorization documentation, security records, and supporting cybersecurity artifacts.
  • Ability to interpret cybersecurity policies, requirements, and technical guidance and translate them into actionable technical and system requirements.
  • Ability to collaborate across systems engineering, development, security, and Risk Management stakeholders to resolve cybersecurity issues and support process improvement and modernization efforts.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Systems engineering experience, including requirements, architecture, interfaces, integration, or configuration management.
  • Familiarity with customer Information Assurance processes, tools, and infrastructure, including ServiceNow (SNOW) or similar workflow and system-of-record tools.
  • Experience supporting ATOs, continuous monitoring, vulnerability management, security assessments, and cybersecurity remediation activities.
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust, network security, identity and access management, data protection, or endpoint security concepts.
  • Experience supporting IC or DoD programs in the cybersecurity domain.
  • Experience working in Agile, DevSecOps, cloud, enterprise platform, or software-intensive environments.
  • Relevant cybersecurity certification, including applicable DoD 8570/8140 certification.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple customer requirements in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
