[About the Role] Lockheed Martin
- Missiles and Fire Control division is seeking a driven Embedded Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Grand Prairie, TX. In this on-site, first-shift role, you will design, develop, and maintain mission-critical real-time Ada software for advanced missile programs. Collaborate with industry leaders, advance your technical expertise, and contribute to the defense of our nation in a fast-paced, innovation-focused environment.
[Responsibilities]
- Analyze requirements and design embedded real-time Ada software solutions for missile systems
- Develop, implement, test, integrate, and maintain high-reliability code on VxWorks (6.9/7.0)
- Work hands-on with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure seamless software integration
- Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Document software design, test procedures, and technical processes in compliance with industry standards
[Required Skills and Experience]
- Active Secret Clearance with investigation completed within the last 5 years
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering from an accredited college
- Proficiency in real-time embedded Ada programming
- Hands-on experience with VxWorks 6.9 or 7.0
[Preferred Skills]
- Experience with C++
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, GitLab
- Exposure to Linux CentOS operating environment
