SAIC is seeking a highly experienced and expert-level Logistics Principal to provide integrated product support and lifecycle logistics leadership for NSWC Crane and the Sea-Launched Cruise Missile - Nuclear (SLCM-N) program. In this senior role, you will serve as a subject matter expert and organizational consultant, contributing to the development of new logistics concepts, techniques, and standards that support the long-term sustainment and operational readiness of this critical nuclear deterrence capability in a competitive prototyping developmental environment. The successful candidate will exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives and will provide expert guidance to program leadership and junior team members.

The successful candidate will exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives and will provide expert guidance to program leadership and junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform system fault analysis, life cycle maintenance planning, and integrated product support (IPS) for the SLCM-N program
- Assist the Navy in the application and implementation of the 12 DoD Integrated Product Support Elements to performers in a competitive prototyping developmental environment.
- Control the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between points of origin through customer placement in order to meet program and customer requirements
- Plan, schedule, and manage the efficient movement of material; develop raw material requirements and scheduling requirements from engineering specifications and production schedules
- Ensure the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes across the SLCM-N program
- Lead logistics functions encompassing maintenance, supply, transportation, and logistics plans
- Perform program formulation, policy planning, coordination, inspection, integrated logistics processes, joint planning logistics, acquisition and wholesale logistics, product support, asset visibility, material management, and supervision
- Contribute to the development of new logistics concepts, techniques, and standards; serve as the recognized expert in logistics within the organization
- Establish and recommend changes to logistics policies that affect the organization
- Provide guidance and mentorship to more junior logistics team members to achieve goals in accordance with established policies
- Serve as consultant to management and as a special external spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to logistics policies, plans, and objectives
- Interface with Navy program office staff, fleet personnel, and industry partners on significant logistics matters
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field with 10 or more years of related experience; OR Master's degree with 8 or more years of related experience; OR PhD or JD with 5 or more years of related experience
- Recognized expert in logistics with a complete understanding of integrated product support, lifecycle maintenance, and supply chain management principles
- Demonstrated experience performing system fault analysis, lifecycle maintenance planning, and integrated product support for major DoD systems
- Proven ability to develop solutions to complex logistics problems requiring ingenuity and innovation
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills
- Proficiency with standard industry and government office and analytical tools including Microsoft Office Suite
- Interim secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
- U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Navy weapons systems, strike systems, or nuclear programs
- Knowledge of DoD 5000.85 product support policy and MIL-HDBK-502 or other DoD logistics standards
- DAWIA Life Cycle Logistics Level II/III certification or equivalent
- Familiarity with Logistics Management Information (LMI) tools and databases
- Experience with Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) analysis
- Experience with nuclear weapons systems sustainment or special weapons handling procedures
