Job Description
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an Administrative Support Specialist to support a high-visibility Veterans Health Administration program through a 100% remote work arrangement. The Administrative Support Specialist will support federal healthcare fraud, waste, and abuse initiatives by organizing case documentation, preparing executive presentations and reports, coordinating stakeholder meetings, conducting quality reviews, and developing workflows and standard operating procedures to support War Room operations.

Responsibilities of the Administrative Support Specialist include:
- Develop & format PowerPoint presentations, executive briefings, reports, and communications for VA leadership
- Organize case documentation, supporting evidence, and referral packages for investigators and subject matter experts
- Support weekly analytic reporting, case package preparation, and quality assurance reviews of workpapers and deliverables
- Develop & maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflow process maps, case tracking procedures, and quality checklists
- Prepare monthly governance reports, milestone updates, dashboards, outcome summaries, and ad hoc white papers
- Coordinate stakeholder meetings, document meeting minutes, and track action items and follow-ups through completion
- Develop training materials, templates, and knowledge transfer documentation to support sustainable War Room operations
- Collaborate with program managers, investigators, and federal healthcare stakeholders in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and short turnaround times
Qualifications of the Administrative Support Specialist include:
- Bachelor's degree
- Active Public Trust Clearance
- 1-3 years of experience in the federal healthcare space
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing presentations, reports, and executive-level documentation
- Experience with documentation management, quality assurance, reporting, process improvement, or program coordination
- Ability to manage competing priorities, meet tight deadlines, and work effectively in a dynamic, high-intensity environment
- Ability to pass a Tier 2 / Moderate Background Investigation (MBI) and obtain a VA Personal Identity Verification (PIV) card
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States
- Preferred: Experience supporting VA/VHA, CMS, Medicare, Medicaid, VA Community Care, healthcare claims, payment integrity, or compliance programs
- Preferred: Familiarity with case management or compliance tracking systems, including CIRTS
- Preferred: Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification or a related credential
Compensation for the Administrative Support Specialist includes:
- Salary Range: $57,000-$65,000 depending on experience
- Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) Plan, Holidays, PTO, and sick leave as required by law
- Work Arrangement: 100% remote within the continental United States, with East Coast working hours & occasional travel to DC, for in-person meetings
