Significance, Inc. is seeking an RPA Developer Technical Advisor to join our team supporting our Navy customer in Alexandria, VA. This hybrid position requires an active Secret clearance. You’ll join a collaborative team focused on delivering practical solutions that support the Navy’s mission.

The RPA Developer Technical Advisor will be responsible for:


•    Design, develop, test, and deploy robotic process automation (RPA) workflows that support Navy business process automation, data reconciliation, validation, and reporting requirements.
•    Work with senior technical resources and Navy functional users to understand current manual business processes and translate documented requirements into automated, auditable workflows.
•    Develop and maintain automation solutions using UiPath and other approved automation technologies, applying established development standards and reusable components.
•    Participate in process discovery and requirements-gathering sessions by documenting business processes, asking clarifying questions, and helping identify opportunities for automation.
•    Integrate automation solutions with Navy and DoW systems and common enterprise data sources, including Excel, SharePoint, SQL databases, APIs, and other systems of record.
•    Develop scripts and supporting automation components using Python, SQL, and other applicable programming or scripting languages.
•    Support configuration and operation of UiPath Orchestrator, including job execution, queues, assets, credentials, scheduling, and exception handling.
•    Apply RPA and software development best practices, including reusable component design, version control, structured exception handling, testing, debugging, and code documentation.
•    Develop and maintain process definition documents (PDDs), solution design documents (SDDs), test documentation, and technical/user documentation in accordance with program and DoW standards.
•    Perform unit testing and support integration testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) of automation solutions prior to production deployment.
•    Troubleshoot automation failures and defects, perform initial root-cause analysis, and work with senior technical resources to implement appropriate remediation.
•    Support evaluation and integration of emerging automation and artificial intelligence capabilities, including Azure and Azure AI services, where appropriate to program requirements.
•    Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, demonstrations, and retrospectives, and contribute to sprint-level delivery of automation capabilities.
•    Coordinate with Information Assurance/Cybersecurity personnel and senior technical resources to ensure automation solutions comply with Navy and DoW security, access control, change management, and Authority to Operate (ATO) requirements.
•    Continuously develop technical knowledge of RPA, intelligent automation, artificial intelligence, and related technologies to support evolving program requirements.

Required Skills:

•    Active or interim DoD SECRET security clearance; ability to maintain clearance eligibility for the duration of assignment.
•    U.S. Citizenship (required by contract).
•    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.
•    1–3 years of professional RPA, software automation, or related development experience, including demonstrated hands-on experience designing, developing, deploying, and supporting software, automation, or RPA solutions.
•    Hands-on experience with UiPath or comparable RPA development experience, with the ability to develop proficiency in UiPath Studio and Orchestrator.
•    Foundational understanding of RPA concepts, including process automation, workflow design, exception handling, testing, debugging, and production support.
•    Working knowledge of Python and SQL or comparable programming/scripting experience.
•    Understanding of software development fundamentals, including programming logic, testing, debugging, reusable development, and version control.
•    Ability to analyze documented business processes and translate functional requirements into technical automation tasks with guidance from senior technical resources.
•    Ability to create and maintain clear technical documentation, including process flows, development documentation, test results, and user instructions.
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
•    Ability to work independently on defined development tasks while collaborating effectively within a team-oriented program environment.

Desired Skills:

•    Hands-on development experience with UiPath Studio, Orchestrator, Robot/Assistant, or related UiPath technologies.
•    UiPath Certified Professional Automation Developer Associate or other relevant UiPath certification.
•    Experience with Microsoft Power Automate or other enterprise automation platforms.
•    Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Azure AI services, or cloud-based application and automation services.
•    Exposure to generative AI, large language models (LLMs), agentic AI concepts/frameworks, intelligent document processing, or AI-enabled automation.
•    Experience integrating applications or automation solutions using REST APIs, databases, or other system interfaces.
•    Familiarity with Databricks or cloud-based data platforms.
•    Experience working with enterprise data sources such as SQL databases, SharePoint, Excel, and structured/unstructured data.
•    Experience with Git, GitLab, or other version-control and collaborative software development platforms.
•    Prior experience supporting Department of the Navy, NAVFAC, DoW, DoD, or another federal government organization.
•    Familiarity with Navy real property, facilities, asset management, financial management, or data reconciliation processes.
•    Experience supporting financial statement audit remediation, internal controls, data quality, or data reconciliation efforts in a federal environment.
•    Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies in a government or professional services environment.

$131,000 - $157,000 a year

At Significance, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and is determined within a range. Our pay ranges are based on the local cost of labor benchmarks for each specific role, level, and geographic location.

We carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including but not limited to experience; job-related skill sets; relevant education or training; and other business and organizational needs. The salary range listed is for the level at which this job has been scoped. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for a comprehensive and generous benefits package.
