In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) providing guidance to staff regarding administrative and clerical programs and; (2) monitoring program status to ensure compliance with administrative processes/procedures and; (3) utilizing office automation software to produce a variety of documents such as correspondences, reports or spreadsheets. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Healthcare Administration or Business Administration.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Additional information
- Ensures program compliance with regulations, laws, policies, and commander directives.
- Responsible for executing and monitoring administrative programs to include, but not limited to: automated personnel/manpower, unit travel and cardholder program, performance management, awards and other readiness or workplace programs.
- Develops and implements internal procedures to track program status and maintain program health.
- Administers programs and serves as the primary source of information, responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and disposition of required administrative reports and other correspondence.
- Monitors and tracks suspense items, gathers data, prepares and submits various recurring and one-time reports.
- Manipulates and retrieves personnel data from various databases used to support local employees.
- Prepares memorandums, presentations, and spreadsheets in support of civilian HR actions.

- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
