Job Summary:
Designs and leads Appian applications, data models, process flows, and integrations. Serves as platform technical authority for low-code case management and workflow automation delivery.
Key Responsibilities
· Architect Appian applications including record types, data models, process models, and interfaces.
· Design integrations using connected systems, web APIs, and database connections.
· Establish design standards, reusable patterns, and application health and governance practices.
· Optimize process performance, data fabric usage, and platform scalability.
· Lead code review, deployment governance, and mentoring of mid-level developers.
Minimum Qualifications
· Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Two (2) years of specialized experience may substitute for one (1) year of the academic requirement.
· Minimum Experience: Five (5) to eight (8) years of Appian development experience, including at least two (2) years leading application design.
· Certifications - Required: Appian Certified Senior Developer.
· Certifications - Obtainable After Hire: Appian Certified Lead Developer, within 180 days of assignment.
· Certifications - Preferred: Appian Certified Analyst; cloud platform associate certification.
· Required Skills: Appian SAIL interfaces; process modeling; record types and data fabric; connected systems and integrations; expression rules; deployment and application health management.
· Preferred Skills: Case management solutions; federal environments; accessibility-compliant interface design; Appian RPA.

Appian 23.x and 24.x; SAIL interface components; process models and sub-processes; Records and Data Fabric; Connected Systems and Integration objects; Web APIs; Decision objects and expression rules; Appian RPA and Process Mining; Appian Deployment API with Jenkins; SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL business data sources; Appian Health Check
