Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Route Driver in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Security Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors and staff with professionalism. This driving position requires a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal policy. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $22.53 / Hour

Job Schedule:

This is a full-time position. You can expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule for this position has not been assigned yet. If you are selected to move forward, your schedule will be determined as you progress through the hiring, onboarding, and training process. Your manager will work with you to assign a schedule based on business needs before your start date.

What You'll Do:
  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, vehicle, and incident information accurately.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and public-service personnel as required.
  • Prepare clear reports and maintain professional communication with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:
  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and batons is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
