LOCATION: HOLLYWOOD, MD
JOB SUMMARY:
The HR Generalist supports a broad range of human resources functions with a primary focus on onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, employee records management, and HR operations. This role partners with hiring managers and internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless employee experience while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The HR Generalist serves as a key point of contact for employees throughout the employment lifecycle and supports continuous improvement of HR processes and programs.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinate and execute all aspects of new hire onboarding, including candidate communications, background screenings, system setup, training coordination, travel arrangements, and first-day activities.
• Partner with hiring managers and internal stakeholders to facilitate onboarding activities, track onboarding progress, and provide status updates as needed.
• Ensure compliance with I-9 requirements, employment eligibility verification, and onboarding documentation.
• Coordinate and administer employee benefits onboarding, including employee communications, enrollment support, presentations, and approval processing.
• Complete employment, security clearance verifications, and other workforce-related documentation requests.
• Maintain accurate personnel records and ensure employee files comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate employee offboarding activities, including exit documentation, system updates, and separation processes.
• Monitor unemployment claims and accounts to ensure timely responses, compliance, and resolution of issues.
• Process offer letters, promotions, and referral bonuses within HR systems.
• Perform HRIS reconciliation activities between ADP and third-party vendor platforms to ensure data integrity.
• Support compliance initiatives, including EEO reporting, VETS-4212 reporting, FMLA administration, labor law compliance, and health and safety programs.
• Assist with process mapping, documentation updates, and continuous improvement initiatives within Human Resources.
• Coordinate recruitment-related travel arrangements and onboarding logistics as needed.
• Support HR projects and initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness and employee experience.
• Perform other duties as are necessary and/or required.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field and 2+ years of Human Resources experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; or an Associate's degree in a related field and 0-2 years of relevant experience; or 6 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Experience supporting onboarding, benefits administration, HR compliance, and employee records management.
• Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Experience with HRIS systems, preferably ADP.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• SHRM-CP or HRCI PHR/SPHR certification in Human Resources Management.
• Active clearance.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
• Ability to traverse manufacturing facility.
