JOB TITLE: SPARE ASSEMBLY SPECIALIST
DEPARTMENT: SUPPLY CHAIN
REPORTS TO: SPARE ASSEMBLY LEAD
CLASSIFICATION: NON-EXEMPT
LOCATION: HOLLYWOOD, MD

JOB SUMMARY:

The Spare Assembly Specialist is responsible for creating, maintaining, and tracking spare parts, assemblies, and aircraft configuration data within Veryon. This role supports production operations by ensuring accurate Bills of Material (BOMs), Manufacturing Orders (MOs), inventory records, and aircraft configuration data while maintaining inventory organization, traceability, and compliance with engineering and quality requirements.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create, maintain, and audit spare parts, assemblies, and spare kits within Veryon.
• Build and verify spare kits in accordance with approved engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation.
• Maintain accurate aircraft configuration records, including serialized component tracking, part numbers, and serial numbers.
• Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) activities and verify aircraft data prior to customer walkthroughs.
• Create and maintain Manufacturing Order (MO) and Bill of Material (BOM) reports.
• Generate and coordinate inventory and location data imports into Veryon.
• Organize, label, and assign inventory to physical storage locations.
• Verify inventory accuracy against BOMs, MOs, and other production documentation.
• Maintain inventory records and location data within Veryon.
• Ensure hazardous materials are properly documented and tracked, including SDS requirements and expiration dates.
• Coordinate the setup and maintenance of LRUs, aircraft tails, and related system records.
• Audit inventory, maintenance, and aircraft records to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
• Support the tracking and installation of aircraft subcomponents.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Maintenance teams to maintain data integrity and support operational objectives.
• Perform other duties as are necessary and/or required.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED and 2-5 years of experience in logistics, shipping and receiving, warehouse operations, inventory management, or a related field.
• Experience in inventory control, production support, manufacturing operations, or aircraft configuration management.
• Working knowledge of BOMs, manufacturing documentation, and engineering drawings.
• Experience with ERP/MRP, inventory management, or maintenance tracking systems; Veryon experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
• Experience in the aerospace, defense, or manufacturing industry.
• Experience using ERP/MRP or inventory management systems.
• Experience supporting government contracts and logistics operations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, including:
• Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and kneeling.
• Perceiving differences in wire and indicator light colors.
• Operating hand and power tools.
• Lifting, carrying, and/or moving tools, equipment, and components weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Working in confined spaces and around aircraft.
• Ascending and descending ladders or stairs as required.
