Job Description

Agensys is seeking a highly skilled and disciplined Data Center Engineer to support the Air Force National Capital Region (AFNCR) IT Services (ITS) program at Joint Base Andrews (JBA), MD. The successful candidate will support classified and unclassified enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring secure, reliable, and continuous network operations in a mission-critical Department of Defense (DoD) environment.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Deploy, configure, manage, and maintain core data center network infrastructure, including enterprise switches, routers, and server network interfaces.
  • Configure and administer Cisco Nexus switches, Cisco Catalyst Center (DNA Center), and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
  • Manage F5 Load Balancers (LTM/GTM) to ensure application availability and network reliability.
  • Administer RSA Authentication Manager to support multifactor authentication across secure environments.
  • Install, configure, key, and troubleshoot TACLANE/HAIPE encryption devices supporting classified and unclassified networks.
  • Monitor network performance, capacity, and infrastructure health using Cacti, SNMP, and other monitoring tools.
  • Support multicast-based IPTV platforms and troubleshoot multicast routing issues.
  • Maintain accurate network documentation, including rack layouts, port mappings, asset inventories, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Implement and enforce DoD cybersecurity requirements, including DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
  • Coordinate with DISA, the 26th Network Operations Squadron (NOS), and other stakeholders to resolve network outages and performance issues.
  • Develop and coordinate Authorized Service Interruptions (ASIs), preventative maintenance, and network upgrades.
  • Identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities, single points of failure, and operational risks.
  • Support disaster recovery planning, system backups, and infrastructure restoration.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to resolve critical Tier 3 network issues outside normal business hours.


Required Qualifications
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical military/civilian experience.
  • Typically 5+ years of hands-on network engineering experience in secure enterprise environments.
  • Must meet DoD 8140 IAT Level II or III baseline certification requirements; CCNA or CCNP Enterprise specified. CompTIA Security+ CE listed as optional.
  • Strong experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco enterprise switches and routers.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst Center (DNA Center), Cisco ISE, and F5 LTM/GTM.
  • Experience administering RSA Authentication Manager and configuring authentication agents.
  • Direct experience configuring, keying, and troubleshooting TACLANE/HAIPE encryption devices.
  • Knowledge of DISA STIG requirements for network infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with SNMP, Cacti, multicast routing, PIM, and IGMP snooping.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience configuring and supporting IPv6 networks.
  • Python and Ansible scripting for network automation.
  • Familiarity with Cisco SD-WAN and Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI).
  • Experience supporting classified, air-gapped, or SIPRNet environments.
  • Familiarity with Air Force, Pentagon, or AFNCR network operations.
  • Previous experience supporting Joint Base Andrews, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, or the Pentagon.
