Responsibilities
Supporting NUWVDIVNPT as a support technician team lead in Middletown, RI.
Possesses in-depth knowledge and technical experience in managing and supporting a large Windows/Linux environment. Specifically, experience in a lead technical role supporting a team of technicians. Responsible for implementing, managing, and troubleshooting; as well as other Microsoft and third-party applications in support of compliance and cyber security guidelines.

- Provide Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Serve as a primary point of contact for day-to-day IT support, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, network, account, and connectivity issues. Manage and prioritize support requests while escalating complex issues when necessary.
- Lead IT Operations & Support Staff:Coordinate daily IT support activities, assign and prioritize tasks, provide technical guidance to junior technicians, and help ensure timely resolution of user issues. Serve as a senior escalation point and provide coverage for IT management when needed.
- Manage IT Infrastructure & Systems: Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, servers, networking equipment, printers, mobile devices, and other technology infrastructure. Perform system updates, software deployments, hardware upgrades, and routine maintenance to maintain reliable IT operations.
- Administer User Accounts & Business Systems: Manage user accounts, permissions, access controls, and onboarding/offboarding processes across systems such as Microsoft 365, Active Directory/Azure AD, and other business applications. Ensure users have appropriate access while maintaining security and compliance requirements.
- Oversee IT Assets & Vendors: Maintain accurate records of hardware, software, licenses, warranties, and equipment assignments. Coordinate with vendors and service providers for purchases, repairs, warranties, licensing, and technical support while helping evaluate new technology solutions.
- Support Cybersecurity & Data Protection: Assist with endpoint security, system patching, access controls, backups, security monitoring, and incident response. Help maintain IT security policies and procedures and promote secure technology practices among employees.
- Support IT Projects & Continuous Improvement:Lead or assist with technology projects including equipment deployments, office moves, system upgrades, network improvements, and software implementations. Identify recurring issues and opportunities to improve IT processes, reliability, efficiency, and overall user experience.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS 0-2; prefer 2-4
- Knowledgeable in Windows 10/11, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 or higher, Microsoft IIS7 or higher and Microsoft PKI technologies
- Knowledge (2-4 years of experience) of implementing and managing Microsoft Windows technologies (2019/2022/202)
- A current CompTIA Security+ with CE
- Must be able to obtain and Maintain a Secret Clearance

- Support special projects related to client support and operations related activities.
- Work with development teams to improve overall processes.
- Work with external vendors as required.
- Attend all meetings as applicable and provide necessary feedback when prompted.

- Demonstrate attention to detail in planning, preparing and developing procedures, process documents and other forms of documentation.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems; assist with the maintenance and administration of applications.
- Able and willing to learn new as well as existing technologies and be a leading and contributing member of a Technical Team.
