Aircraft Mechanic Level B
- Onsite | Jacksonville, FL | Secret Clearance Required Post Start About the Role Join Indotronix as an Aircraft Mechanic Level B and play a critical role in maintaining and modifying advanced aircraft in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. Work on cutting-edge strike fighters and commercial derivative aircraft while expanding your technical skillset and benefiting from growth opportunities. This onsite role requires adaptability to 1st or 2nd shift per business needs and offers the chance to contribute to high-visibility aerospace programs supporting national defense. Responsibilities
- Perform structural repairs, modifications, and maintenance on metallic and composite aircraft components
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, process data sheets, and maintenance instruction manuals
- Identify, remove, and install various fasteners, including rivets, hi-locks, bolts, and blind rivets
- Utilize precision measuring tools to meet close tolerance requirements
- Apply corrosion prevention/control, clean, polish, and perform dry wash tasks on aircraft surfaces
- Use assembly jigs and repair equipment to fabricate, locate, drill, trim, and assemble components
- Ensure accurate completion of technical documentation, logbooks, and maintenance records
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Communicate technical issues and discrepancies to program leads and managers promptly
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to an open, safety-focused culture Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3 years as an aircraft mechanic (commercial, defense, or relevant apprenticeship)
- Proficient in reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Close tolerance drilling and measuring skills (.003/.001 inches)
- Experience with precision measuring tools (micrometer, calipers, gauges)
- Familiarity with fastener types, removal, and installation processes
- Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite)
- High school diploma/GED plus 1+ year related experience, or equivalent education/experience
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and perform physical tasks in a manufacturing environment Preferred Skills
- Experience with strike fighter or commercial derivative aircraft
- Familiarity with Airworthiness Directives, Technical Directives, Service Bulletins
- Ability to apply aircraft finishes (primer, paint), Alodine, sealants
- Prior Secret clearance or eligibility for clearance Benefits
