The Strategic Technology Analysis Group, part of SPA's Space and Intelligence Division, offers sophisticated capabilities (people, process & tools) to resolve unique problems in space, cyber, and special operations in support to military services, Secretary of Defense offices (OSD) and theater warfighters. Our portfolio includes the Assistant Secretary of Air Force for Space Acquisition & Integration (SAF/SQ), Joint Warfare Analysis Center (JWAC), Space Security and Defense Program (SSDP), National Space Defense Center (NSDC), Space Warfighting Analysis Center (SWAC), Strategic Capabilities Office (SCO), US Space Command (USSPACECOM) and US Space Force (USSF). SPA has a need for an Offnet / Proximal Cyber Access SME.
Responsibilities
This position directly supports a DoW R&D rapid prototyping development program and a federated team of military, civilian, and contracted personnel which develops accesses, discovers vulnerabilities, and engineers cyber tools and develops tactics, techniques, and procedures for the potential use of these assets and capabilities in offensive cyber operations. This position is for a full-time equivalent multi-module Cyber Access SETA responsible for access generation in support of prototype capability development, filling a critical skills gap for the Cyber Team. Multi-modal access includes offnet and proximal access.

- Provide objective information and analysis supporting decision making on cyber-relevant Science and Technology (S&T) capability development and integration activities.
- Ensure capabilities being developed meet operator / customer requirements and R&D Office programmatic schedule to include key transition milestones.
- Prepare and deliver executive level briefings, reports, and summary papers; explain complex concepts in relatively simple language; summarize key decisions; and provide recommendations supported by analysis.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- BS in Cybersecurity / Cyber Exploitation or other relevant Cyber related discipline
- Extensive working knowledge of VSAT and or Mobile technologies, wireless access, private wireless networks, and technology employed therein required including 5G and evolving technology
- Experience with offensive cyber operations or active on net defensive cyber operations
- 5+ years of technical and operational leadership experience including leading teams at tactical, operational, Combatant Command and national levels, including Joint Force Headquarters-Cyber (JFHQ-C) or Special Operations Forces (SOF) experience
- Experience in planning and leading Offensive Cyber Operations
- Experience briefing senior Government officials
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills.
- Experience using critical thinking to prepare written reports and presentations for senior decision makers
- Demonstrated knowledge and familiarity with writing requirements for cyber capability development and with cyber operations planning
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to plan, work, and deliver both independently and as part of a diverse team focused on delivering critical cyber capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to effectively and professionally interact with staff members and executive leadership via both verbal and written means
- Demonstrated experience supporting IC or DoD Compartmented/Special Access Programs (CAPs/SAPs)
- Able to support monthly travel, along with weekly local travel in the NCR
- Able to work full time in a Chantilly, VA or McLean, VA office within SCIF/SAPF spaces
