Procurement Specialist
Position Overview
We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to support sourcing, purchasing, supplier management, and procurement operations within a highly regulated environment. This role will be responsible for managing purchase orders, conducting supplier evaluations, negotiating pricing and terms, and ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
Responsibilities
Execute and manage purchase orders for materials, software, and services.
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, customer requirements, and company policies throughout the procurement lifecycle.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Finance, Contracts, Legal, and other internal stakeholders.
Identify and qualify suppliers; develop and execute Requests for Quotes (RFQs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
Evaluate supplier performance with a focus on quality, reliability, delivery, and cost.
Support proposal and bid activities, including supplier agreements and confidentiality documentation.
Review and assist in developing supplier statements of work and procurement documentation.
Conduct source selection activities, price analyses, supplier assessments, and risk evaluations.
Identify potential supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to minimize business impact.
Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contractual terms with suppliers.
Manage supplier performance against established cost, quality, and schedule objectives.
Support invoice approvals, supplier inquiries, and purchase order issue resolution.
Interpret and apply company procedures, policies, and operational processes with a high level of accuracy.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant procurement or purchasing experience.
Minimum 2 years of procurement experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Advanced degree preferred.
Experience supporting sourcing, purchasing, supplier management, price analysis, negotiations, and procurement documentation.
Experience working in a regulated or compliance-driven environment.
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
