Job Description
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in Lexington Park, MD. This position is Hybrid, three days onsite and 2 days remote with travel approximately two weeks per quarter.
The Senior Systems Engineer will leverage their strong technical background and knowledge to support the Direct and Time Sensitive Strike Program (PMA-242), focusing on the acquisition, development, and sustainment of the Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile - Extended Range (AARGM-ER) and the legacy High-Speed Anti-Radiation Missile (HARM), AGM-88.

The Senior Systems Engineer will leverage their strong technical background and knowledge to support the Direct and Time Sensitive Strike Program (PMA-242), focusing on the acquisition, development, and sustainment of the Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile - Extended Range (AARGM-ER) and the legacy High-Speed Anti-Radiation Missile (HARM), AGM-88.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead the execution of complex engineering tasks and programmatic roles with little or no guidance.
- Provide engineering support for the development of the Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile - Extended Range (AARGM-ER) and the legacy High-Speed Anti-Radiation Missile (HARM), AGM-88.
- Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate military weapons systems and associated support systems.
- Review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
- Apply systems engineering methods and tools to integrate complex systems, manage configurations, test quality assurance, and manage acquisition resources.
- Guide the engineering development of modern complex systems and travel one to two weeks per quarter to support program requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a technical or scientific field from an accredited college or university, or a Bachelor's degree in a technical or scientific field combined with an additional four years of recent and relevant experience.
- 10+ years of recent and relevant experience in an engineering position, with at least 3 years of experience directly related to Department of Defense (DoD) systems.
- 10+ years of applied engineering experience developing complex systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Possess prior experience supporting the Direct and Time Sensitive Strike Program (PMA-242).
- Demonstrate familiarity with the Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile - Extended Range (AARGM-ER) or High-Speed Anti-Radiation Missile (HARM) systems.
- Exhibit programmatic or technical leadership experience within naval aviation acquisition environments.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess and maintain an active Secret Clearance or higher.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and other essential equipment.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
