Job Description
Blue Sky Innovative Solutions is hiring two Senior Contract Specialists to support the U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Transit Administration. You'll be the senior acquisition voice on a team that helps FTA buy the services that keep the nation's transit programs running, from bus and rail grant oversight to agency operations.

What you'll do
- Work side by side with Contracting Officers and CORs on procurements from acquisition planning to closeout.
- Build and review solicitations, evaluations, awards and modifications across FFP, labor-hour, T&M and cost-type contracts.
- Support IDIQs, BPAs, GSA Schedule orders, task and delivery orders, and interagency agreements.
- Prepare contract actions in PRISM and keep data accurate for federal reporting.
- Spot gaps, fix them early and recommend smarter acquisition strategies.
- 8+ years of federal contracting experience (bachelor's degree preferred).
- FAC-C Level III / FAC-C Professional or equivalent senior-level experience.
- Strong command of FAR Parts 12-16, 37 and 43 and FSS ordering (GSAR 538.71 / former FAR 8.4).
- Excellent writing and editing skills; you catch errors others miss.
- Comfort with MS Office and Google Workspace.
- PRISM experience and DOT or civilian agency experience are a plus.
- Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday.
- Primarily remote; must be able to work on-site at DOT HQ (Navy Yard, Washington, DC) if requested.
- Must reside and work in the U.S. and be able to pass a federal background investigation.
