About the Role

PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a Quality Inspector III to perform diversified and complex visual and dimensional inspection tasks, from first article through final inspection, for composite components, bonded parts, and assemblies. This role is critical to ensuring compliance with aerospace quality standards and delivering top-tier products.
Key Responsibilities
  • Verify inspection tools are calibrated and meet tolerance requirements.
  • Inspect and measure products for conformance using precision tools, templates, and charts.
  • Mark items with pass/fail ratings and generate non-conformance reports as needed.
  • Review blueprints, manuals, and specifications to determine inspection procedures.
  • Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102 requirements.
  • Conduct internal audits and generate corrective action reports using TIP QA software.
  • Record inspection/test data and maintain accurate logs.
  • Communicate with supervisors, vendors, and customers regarding quality issues.
  • Train others on FAI procedures and requirements.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical school diploma preferred.
  • 2+ years in manufacturing and/or quality inspection; composite layup/assembly experience desired.
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, scales, etc.).
  • Familiarity with AS9102 and aerospace quality standards preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical documents.
  • Ability to work across multiple shifts and adapt to changing priorities.
