  • Articulate Battalion/Group/Brigade equipment readiness and accountability issues at meetings, briefings, conferences and day-to-day reviews.
  • Conduct property management and accountability procedures, and reconcile and submit recurring reports for TOA, MTOE, SOF-peculiar and installation property.
  • Review property control systems and practices, analyze reports, interpret policies, and implement or recommend changes to property accounting procedures and guidelines.
  • Assist in managing detailed reset, repair, replacement (SOF Unique Programmed Items), Unique Item Tracking requirements, and Left Behind Equipment (LBE).
  • Oversees the Group/Brigade Issue Points, warehouse operations functions associated with the receipt, storage, and issue of training equipment and supplies, and the technical supply work of Federal civilian or military supply technicians.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver’s License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 11.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 35% of the time.
  • May be required to work nights, weekends, holidays and/or irregular duty hours commensurate with mission requirements.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Providing guidance to staff and subordinate units in areas of supply discipline and forecasting long-range equipment support requirements for operational, training and pre- and post-deployment activities. 2) Conducting property management and accountability procedures, and reconcile and submit recurring reports for TOA, MTOE, SOF-peculiar and installation property. 3)Provides guidance on property accountability, force development and documentation policies, and equipment-related data. 4) Review property control systems and practices, analyze reports, interpret policies, and implement or recommend changes to property accounting procedures and guidelines. 5) Works with internal and external supply entities and automated systems to resolve problems with property acceptability, accountability, distribution, and replacement. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

OR

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
