PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an Electronics Assembler I to join a leading Aerospace & Defense client in Buffalo, NY. This opportunity offers hands-on work supporting the development and production of advanced simulation and electronic warfare systems that help protect and support U.S. military personnel.

Responsibilities
- Assemble electronic components using assembly drawings, diagrams, work instructions, and job aids.
- Perform manufacturing processes including:
- Fine-pitch soldering of circuit card assemblies
- BGA rework and repair
- Manual and automated microelectronics assembly
- Electromechanical assembly
- Wire and cable harness fabrication and installation
- Transformer winding and encapsulation
- Conduct continuity checks on in-process and completed assemblies.
- Operate production equipment such as soldering stations, crimp tools, microscopes, and ovens.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality and workmanship standards.
- Identify and support correction of nonconforming hardware, including rework and repair activities.
- Accurately document production activities and quality records.
- Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and supervisors to support manufacturing goals.
- Follow all safety, ESD, FOD, and cleanliness requirements.
- Successfully complete required in-house workmanship training.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 0 to 2 years of electronics assembly or manufacturing experience
- Ability to learn new skills and processes
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 10 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
- Current or previous IPC-610 and/or J-STD-001 certifications
- Ability to solder to Class 2 standards
- Experience working under a microscope on small electronic assemblies
- Excellent manual dexterity and precision
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and engineering drawings
- Experience in a metric-based manufacturing environment
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
