Essential Job Function
- "Cube freight", meaning to measure size and weight of freight. Produce DD FORM 1149 in "tracker lite web site" to acquire a Type Allocation code (TAC) number. Then submit a Funds Verification & Use Authorization (FVUA) to fund the shipment. Send DD 1149 and FVUA to Transportation to schedule pick up of freight
- Coordinate and execute regional transportation to Central Issue Facility (CIF) sites, managing the end-to-end logistics for all scheduled pick-ups
- Process DD Form 1149 shipment requests with USPFO-Transportation section in order to transport lateral transfers of equipment to various units worldwide
- Coordinate and maintain contact with the National Guard Bureau Second Destination Transportation (SDT) & Distribution Management Center (DMC) Mobility Division on a daily/weekly basis in order to manage and receive disposition on excess equipment for the USPFO GCSS-Army account and for the TXARNG
Minimum Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience
- Knowledge of transportation/shipping documentation and Army logistics workflows; forklift qualification when operating equipment
- Tier 1 Investigation
- CAC card or ability to obtain one
- Forklift license if/when operating forklift
