Position Overview:
i3 has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Technician to support the Naval Research Laboratory, Tactical Electronic Warfare Division. The TEWD's purpose is to protect the warfighter from emerging threats by advancing electronic warfare (EW) through simulation, testing and evaluation. Candidate will be heavily involved in the testing, analysis, and validation of radio frequency (RF) radio systems, as well as the active operation and maintenance of our on-site anechoic chamber.

Candidate will be heavily involved in the testing, analysis, and validation of radio frequency (RF) radio systems, as well as the active operation and maintenance of our on-site anechoic chamber.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform testing, analysis, and validation of RF radio systems in support of EW missions.
- Operate and maintain the anechoic chamber and associated test equipment.
- Assist in the development and execution of test plans and procedures.
- Collect and analyze test data to support system performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with engineers and scientists to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Document test results and maintain detailed records of all activities.
- Support the integration of new technologies and systems into the TEWD test environment.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of experience with RF systems, test equipment, and anechoic chamber operations.
- Strong understanding of RF principles, signal processing, and electromagnetic theory.
- Proficiency with test and measurement equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers).
- Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) tools and data acquisition systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Active Secret clearance required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience with software development (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for test automation.
- Knowledge of software-defined radio (SDR) technologies.
- Familiarity with network security and cybersecurity principles.
