About the Role
Blue Rose Consulting Group is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to support the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA).
The SAP ABAP Developer will perform complex business and system analysis, design, coding, and testing for enterprise SAP environments. This role will translate business requirements into technical designs and collaborate with SAP Functional Consultants and client team members to evaluate technical alternatives and develop effective solutions.
The position requires experience with SAP ABAP, SAP S/4HANA, retail pricing and promotions, RAP development, CDS views, OData/Fiori, enhancements, and SAP extensibility.
This position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust. An active Public Trust is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
The successful SAP ABAP Developer will translate complex business requirements into effective SAP solutions while contributing throughout the analysis, design, development, and testing lifecycle.
Success in this role means delivering reliable SAP functionality, supporting accurate end-to-end pricing, collaborating effectively with functional and technical teams, and applying modern SAP development and extensibility practices.
Location: Remote, with up to 25% onsite support in Arlington, VA/Washington, DC or Richmond, VA
Work Arrangement: Primarily remote

Key Responsibilities
- Translate business-area customer requirements into detailed enterprise application designs.
- Perform business and system analysis, design, coding, and testing.
- Collaborate with SAP Functional Consultants and client team members to analyze technical alternatives and provide recommendations.
- Develop programming specifications, diagrams, and coding logic flowcharts for enterprise application modifications and installations.
- Support SAP S/4HANA retail pricing and promotions, including PMR/OPP.
- Support price calculation, margin logic, regular and promotional price planning, condition techniques, and POS outbound pricing.
- Develop solutions using SAP ABAP and RAP, including OO-ABAP, CDS views, and OData/Fiori.
- Develop and maintain enhancements using BAdIs, user exits, and S/4HANA extensibility.
- Support pricing route and user-exit updates.
- Validate end-to-end pricing functionality through IDocs and interfaces.
- U.S. Citizen.
- Minimum of 2 years of SAP ECC development experience.
- Experience with SAP ABAP development.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA.
- Experience supporting enterprise SAP development, analysis, design, coding, and testing.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
- Active Public Trust.
- Advanced SAP ABAP development experience.
- Advanced SAP S/4HANA experience.
- Experience with S/4HANA retail pricing and promotions.
- Experience with PMR/OPP, price calculation, margin logic, and promotional price planning.
- Experience with OO-ABAP, RAP, CDS views, OData/Fiori, BAdIs, user exits, and S/4HANA extensibility.
- Experience with IDocs and SAP interfaces.
- Bachelor's degree.
