About the Role
Blue Rose Consulting Group is seeking an experienced SAP Mid-Developer - Supplier Portal to support the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA).
This role will support complex business and system analysis, design, coding, and testing within current and proposed enterprise SAP environments. The developer will work closely with SAP Functional Consultants and client team members to translate business and functional requirements into effective technical solutions using SAP ABAP and SAP S/4HANA.
The role requires knowledge of S/4HANA development tools and architecture, SAP's Clean Core methodology, extensibility concepts, and modern ABAP development approaches.
This position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust. An active Public Trust is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
The successful SAP Mid-Developer will translate functional requirements into well-designed technical solutions, collaborate effectively with functional and client teams, and deliver high-quality SAP development aligned with S/4HANA standards and modern extensibility practices.
Success in this role means developing reliable solutions, adhering to development standards, producing thorough technical documentation and test results, and contributing effectively throughout the SAP development lifecycle.
Location: Remote, with up to 25% onsite support in Arlington, VA/Washington, DC or Richmond, VA
Work Arrangement: Primarily remote

Key Responsibilities
- Perform business and system analysis, design, coding, and testing for enterprise application environments.
- Collaborate with functional teams to understand development requirements.
- Work with SAP Functional Consultants and client team members to recommend appropriate technical approaches.
- Develop programming specifications, diagrams, and coding logic flowcharts for enterprise application modifications and installations.
- Develop quality technical solutions in accordance with established development standards.
- Perform unit testing and document test results.
- Support SAP S/4HANA development and extensibility activities.
- Collaborate with technical and functional team members throughout the development lifecycle.
- U.S. Citizen.
- Minimum of 2 years of SAP development experience.
- Experience using development tools available for SAP S/4HANA.
- High-level understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture.
- Understanding of SAP's Clean Core methodology.
- Understanding of SAP extensibility concepts.
- Awareness of modern ABAP features and RESTful application programming concepts.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
- Active Public Trust.
- SAP S/4HANA implementation experience.
- Advanced SAP ABAP development experience.
- Advanced SAP S/4HANA experience.
- Experience supporting enterprise SAP development in a federal environment.
- Bachelor's degree.
