Electronics Worker I (1st Shift)
- Indianapolis, IN | $28.05/hr | 6+ Month Contract About the Role Join our dynamic team as a Temporary Electronics Worker I at our Modernization and Sustainment site in Indianapolis. This is a hands-on role with the opportunity to work on sophisticated electronic assemblies, providing essential support for defense and modernization projects. Start times are flexible between 5:00
- 7:00 a.m. and top performers may be considered for full-time hire. Responsibilities
- Assemble, disassemble, rework, and repair electronic assemblies, including printed circuit boards, cable harnesses, and chassis
- Perform precise component preparation, soldering (through-hole and surface mount), and touch-up to meet quality standards
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and process routings to execute assembly tasks accurately
- Operate machinery for soldering, desoldering, shaping, and placing electronic components
- Conduct in-process self-checks, prepare assemblies for inspection, and support testing procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times
- Assist with conformal coating, potting, encapsulation, and related assembly processes as required Required Skills and Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years' experience in electronic assembly, rework, or repair
- Skilled in fine-pitch soldering and cable assembly
- Ability to identify and handle electronic components properly
- Proficient with wiring diagrams, schematics, and detailed instructions
- Basic computer literacy and data entry for tracking production quality
- Must be a U.S. citizen eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC-610, IPC-620, IPC-7711, J-STD-001)
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) data collection
- Previous defense or aerospace electronics assembly experience Benefits
