Job Description
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented AI Developer to join our team. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, collaboration across teams, and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions. The position is remote with the possibility of occasional client site travel.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Interview customers to understand and document their current state data analytical needs and how AI solutions can solve those needs
• Elicit requirements and develop technical designs and specifications for new AI solutions
• Install, configure, test, administer, and document the use of AI/ML tools in use within the AI environment
• Design and train machine learning models using frameworks like TensorFlow and Scikit- Learn for predictive analytics and automation
• Utilize modern AI frameworks to design AI applications that use Language Models (LLMs) and adapt LLMs with prompt engineering and fine tuning. Responsible for the full lifecycle-from addressing complex data analytical needs to shipping production-ready applications
• Optimize models for scalability, latency, and accuracy in production environments
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree
• 5+ years' experience with Python and common ML libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn)
• 2+ years' experience installing, configuring, and using AI/ML tools, such as Flowise, NiFi, and large language models
• 2+ years' experience performing data engineering tasks, such as extract/transform/load (ETL), data cleansing, and data wrangling
• Experience performing EDA and interpreting results to share with stakeholders to solicit feedback
• Experience building, training, testing, and deploying ML models
• Experience integrating chatbots with enterprise systems
• Experience with advanced prompting techniques (e.g., Chain-of-Thought, Few-Shot, ReAct) and systematic evaluation frameworks to minimize hallucinations and improve output reliability
• Experience evaluating responses from the LLMs
• Experience in developing and integrating Large Language Model (LLM) solutions with front-end applications
• Experience working with popular cloud platforms (Azure, Web Services, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud)
• Experience providing services to public sector clients
Security Clearance Requirements:
• US citizenship with a Secret level clearance.
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to travel (10% or less).
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
• The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
