Job Description
Linux Systems Administrator
Lexington, Massachusetts · Full time, on site · Secret, Top Secret preferred
supports development of satellite, airborne, and terrestrial networks. You need current hands-on Linux
experience and a history of running Linux environments.
What you will do
• Administer the group’s IT infrastructure, physical and virtual servers, and researcher workstations.
• Configure and maintain systems in a secure, documented, RMF-compliant way.
• Remediate vulnerabilities on secure and unclassified systems, including Category 1, 2, and 3 findings.
• Troubleshoot developer machines across Linux and Windows.
• Stand up centralized logging and audit, and protect mission data with enterprise backup.
Required
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, or a military background with the technical skills. They will flex the
degree or the years for the right veteran.
• Active Secret. One of the two openings will require a Top Secret/SCI. Active Top Secret is strongly
preferred.
• 6 or more years of Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration.
• 3 or more years with Ubuntu and VMware, including ESXi and vCenter.
• 3 or more years with TCP/IP, DNS, NTP, DHCP, SSH, FTP, and HTTP/S.
• 3 or more years with PowerShell and Ansible, or similar.
• 3 or more years of centralized logging, enterprise backup, and protecting mission-critical data.
• Hardware experience with Dell, SuperMicro, Cisco, Apple, and Intel or AMD.
• Red Hat Satellite, Red Hat Automation Platform, vSAN, GitHub or GitLab, and Nessus or ACAS.
• Centralized authentication: Kerberos, SSSD, IdM, LDAP, or Active Directory.
Preferred
• Windows and macOS support.
• Juniper or Cisco.
• Docker or Podman.
• DISA STIGs.
• Python.
• Real-time Linux kernels, tuning, and performance analysis.
• Red Hat, VMware, CISSP, Security+, or Linux Professional Institute certification.
• Prior military experience
