We are seeking a motivated DevSecOps Engineer. The DevSecOps Engineer will be responsible for new and existing development environments. Deployment of tools, infrastructure security, monitoring, and installation/configuration of applications. The DevSecOps Engineer plays a key role in establishing secure workflows and patterns for application lifecycle management.
This role is for a Classified Linux Dev Sec Ops Engineer with a focus on helping other departments correctly utilize the High Performance Computing ( HPC) Cluster environment and attain the output that they are wanting through the use of containers and submission scripts.
The ideal candidate for this position has worked in agile software development environments, taking ownership of their tasks/stories, and contributing to various products. At times, they may need to work closely with other teams to firm up requirements or perform testing.

We are seeking a motivated DevSecOps Engineer. The DevSecOps Engineer will be responsible for new and existing development environments. The DevSecOps Engineer plays a key role in establishing secure workflows and patterns for application lifecycle management.

Responsibilities:
- Containerization and automation of existing and new applications.
- Identifying and resolving technical challenges through software solutions.
- Working with software developers and engineers to create DevSecOps workflows and patterns.
- Ensuring the success of security requirements and compliance for container environments, CI/CD, and Kubernetes initiatives.
- Documenting infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Automating repetitive tasks to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
- Developing best practices to increase the velocity of image updates and patch management.
- Implementing compliance scanning tools (SAST/DAST) within the build pipeline.
- Implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools to stand up environments.
Basic Qualifications
- US DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain a US DoD Top Secret clearance.
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent Certification or ability to obtain one.
- Proficiency with git and version control systems (Github, GitLab) in a team setting.
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and container security.
- Experience designing infrastructure as code solutions using Terraform.
- Experience with CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar).
- Experience with Linux administration and hardening.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps processes and software supply chain security.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle and SDLC promotion strategies.
- Knowledge of secrets management platforms. (Vault/Fornetix/Fortanix)
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies. (VMWare/Nutanix/Libvirtd/Hyper-V)
Desired Skills
- Experience with Helm and Kubernetes for deploying and managing clusters.
- Experience with HashiCorp Vault for secrets management.
- Experience with monitoring and alerting applications such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Experience containerizing Next.js, TypeScript, and Go based applications.
- Knowledge of the Temporal technology for workflow automation or the equivalent.
- Some experience with GitOps best practices for cluster management.
