Standard Job Description
This position is part of the LM Aero Quality & Mission Success (Q&MS) organization and supports the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program as the Quality lead for Wing Systems and Wing Operations team. As an F-35 Program Quality Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Lead and manage a team of quality professionals to ensure the effective execution of quality functions to include Quality records/data quality, variation management, metrics & data analytics and product quality through customer delivery.
Develop and implement quality strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality management systems, including AS9100 and other relevant standards.
Support the overall F-35 Quality organization in leading strategic initiatives spanning build areas.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Production Operations, Supply Chain/Supplier Quality Management, Configuration Management, etc., to ensure quality requirements are integrated into product design, production, and delivery.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing, six sigma, and other quality improvement methodologies.
Manage budget, staffing, and resource allocation plans to ensure effective use of resources and achievement of program/quality objectives.
Foster a culture of Quality excellence, encouraging employee engagement and development to enable success in meeting program goals.
Manages a diverse team of represented and non-represented employees.
Manages more than one functional area in Quality, Reliability, Test, or Inspection. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Responsible for resource allocation, work assignments and establishing/maintaining an effective business rhythm. Responsible for all aspects of quality for assigned area of responsibility. Communicates quality requirements, concerns and expectations. Active participant in risk and opportunity management processes. Ensures cost commitments and financial responsibilities are met. Ensures appropriate identification and flow down of quality requirements (internal and contractual) and effective implementation of quality requirements. Ensures effective implementation of quality management system within area of responsibility. Ensures effective implementation of a metrics program and actively address adverse trends. Ensures product acceptance and delivery per established process and program requirements. Note: This job code will be used for quality personnel that have lead responsibility for a program with one or more quality disciplines.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience
- Experience managing in a production environment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation planning.
- Demonstrated ability to make data-driven decisions, set priorities, and provide clear direction in a dynamic business environment
Desired Skills
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- Ability to work multiple tasks and deal with competing priorities in a fast paced environment
- Excellent communication (verbal, written and presentation) skills
- AS9100 experience
- Experience developing and executing Quality-Management strategies that produced measurable business-outcome improvements
- Customer focused behavior and problem-solving abilities, developing employees, building constructive partnering relationships with customers, employees, and DCMA
