Job Description

Eiden Systems Consulting (ESC) is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead DevOps strategy, CI/CD architecture, cloud deployments, automation, and Agile practices supporting large-scale federal programs. The ideal candidate will have strong experience implementing DevOps solutions across cloud and on-premises environments and working in product-centric Agile organizations. This position is primarily remote, with periodic onsite support required at Fort Belvoir, VA, and other locations within the National Capital Region (NCR).

Key Responsibilities
• Lead DevOps strategy, architecture, automation, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Define and implement Scrum/Agile methodologies for large-scale clients.
• Develop and maintain automated software development lifecycle (SDLC) toolchains.
• Support deployments across AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenStack, and on-premises environments.
• Implement Test Driven Development (TDD), DevSecOps, and automated testing practices.
• Engineer and support complex technology implementations in product-centric environments.
• Automate infrastructure and application deployments using scripting and programming.
• Implement configuration management and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker, OpenShift, LXC, or similar technologies.
• Collaborate with software developers, system engineers, cybersecurity teams, and program stakeholders.

Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience defining or implementing Scrum methodologies for large-scale organizations.
• 5+ years of DevOps, software delivery, or systems engineering experience.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated SDLC toolchains.
• Experience with both cloud and on-premises deployments.
• Experience with one or more major cloud platforms, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or OpenStack.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Salt, or TFS/Azure DevOps.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, OpenShift, LXC, or Kubernetes.
• Scripting or programming experience with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Active Secret Clearance with IT-II eligibility.

Preferred
• Cloud Service Provider certification such as AWS DevOps Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
• Experience supporting DoD or Federal Government programs.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Terraform, Kubernetes, DevSecOps, and automated security/testing tools.
