Join us on this journey as we execute this mission-critical contract providing architecture, engineering, integration, and maintenance across a multiple classification Enterprise network.


Your effort and expertise are crucial to the success and execution of this impactful mission. This opportunity supports an Enterprise IT contract with a team of Customer Service Specialists, Database Engineers, Information Systems Security Officers, Information Systems Security Engineers, SharePoint Developers, Systems Engineers, Network Engineers, and IT Engineers responsible for the architecture, engineering, integration, operations, maintenance and sustainment of multi-level Enterprise IT environment.


The Hardware Engineer III provides senior-level engineering expertise for complex, mission-critical hardware and network infrastructure supporting Intelligence Community operations. This position leads the assessment, integration, deployment, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and sustainment of hardware across geographically distributed and highly secure environments.


The ideal candidate brings extensive experience solving complex infrastructure challenges, conducting site assessments, developing engineering solutions, and providing technical leadership to hardware engineering teams.


Qualifications:
• 20+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 25+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree 
• Extensive experience engineering, integrating, testing, troubleshooting, and sustaining complex hardware and network infrastructure.
• Demonstrated experience with enterprise compute, storage, networking, server, and/or data center environments.
• Extensive experience conducting site surveys and documenting existing infrastructure and site-specific requirements.
• Experience developing engineering drawings, network diagrams, site documentation, and as-built documentation.
• Experience performing hardware reliability, failure, MTBF, and MTTR analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical activities and direct the work of other engineers on projects.
• Strong understanding of hardware architecture, system integration, performance, reliability, availability, and maintainability.
• Experience working in highly secure, mission-critical, or classified environments.
• Ability to develop and interpret technical specifications, engineering documentation, diagrams, and procedures.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership skills.
• Active TS/SCI clearance; polygraph required.


Key Responsibilities:
• Engineer, integrate, configure, test, and sustain enterprise hardware supporting mission-critical operations.
• Conduct site surveys to assess physical infrastructure, equipment, connectivity, environmental conditions, and operational  requirements.
• Assess and document existing network and hardware configurations, site-unique requirements, dependencies, limitations, and  infrastructure conditions.
• Develop and maintain site drawings, engineering diagrams, network documentation, and as-built documentation for each    supported site.
• Evaluate compute, storage, server, network, and data center hardware for performance, reliability, security, and mission  suitability.
• Analyze complex hardware and infrastructure problems and develop solutions that improve reliability, availability, and     maintainability.
• Lead hardware integration, technology refresh, modernization, deployment, and transition activities.
• Conduct MTBF and MTTR analysis to identify reliability trends, recurring failures, operational risks, and opportunities for  improvement.
• Support data center and site infrastructure activities, including equipment installation, rack configuration, cabling, power,    environmental requirements, and system testing.
• Perform hardware lifecycle management, including technology evaluation, configuration, maintenance, refresh, replacement,    and disposition.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation, technical specifications, configuration standards, procedures, and site     documentation.
• Conduct hardware testing, validation, performance assessments, failure analysis, and operational readiness assessments.
• Identify hardware risks, obsolescence, single points of failure, and opportunities to improve system resiliency.
• Provide senior-level technical guidance and Tier 3 troubleshooting for complex hardware and infrastructure issues.
• Direct and coordinate the technical work of other hardware engineers assigned to projects, ensuring engineering activities,    deliverables, schedules, and technical standards are met.
• Train and mentor hardware engineers, technicians, and site personnel on hardware systems, configurations, maintenance,    troubleshooting, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with systems, network, cybersecurity, operations, and other engineering teams to resolve complex technical  challenges.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that support evolving mission requirements.
• Support engineering reviews, technical assessments, site deployments, system upgrades, and operational transitions.
• Ensure hardware solutions comply with applicable security, configuration management, engineering, and mission requirements.
• Serve as a senior technical authority for hardware projects from initial assessment and design through deployment,  acceptance, and sustainment.
