The Work
The Shift Supervisor acts as the on-site manager responsible for overseeing day-to-day security and access control operations at a designated secure government facility. This pivotal role ensures compliance with Intelligence Community standards (including ICD 705), supervises access control officers and support staff, and serves as the primary government stakeholder liaison for incident management and operational updates. The Shift Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining operational readiness, workforce management, compliance, and mission continuity in a high-security environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver regular status updates to the Site Lead and Program Manager on site operations, staffing, and emergent concerns.
- Maintain strong, effective communication with security stakeholders during live incidents, special access events, or security escalations.
- Lead and coordinate facility-wide access control and security operations.
- Ensure full adherence to post orders, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and government security directives.
- Conduct comprehensive daily shift turnovers, personnel readiness checks, and workplace inspections.
- Respond to and manage on-site security incidents, personnel access challenges, and customer complaints/escalations.
- Assure compliance with all company SOPs and contractual requirements.
- Supervise and manage the performance of SCA-covered access control officers and administrative staff.
- Plan, manage, and enforce duty schedules, shift coverage, and timekeeping compliance policies.
- Mentor and coach personnel to maintain professional conduct, performance, and adherence to operational policies.
- Support hiring processes, including employee onboarding and clearance processing.
- Drive performance improvement initiatives and participate in routine performance evaluations.
- Enforce security protocols related to prohibited items, badge verification, controlled area monitoring, and emergency responses.
- Maintain inspection-ready documentation, operational logs, and incident reports.
- Perform routine site and personnel compliance inspections to identify procedural gaps and implement corrective actions.
- Deliver and support the training of new team members, ensuring all site personnel maintain certification and proficiency in post procedures.
- Stay informed of updates to IC security standards and relay operational impacts to site personnel.
- Participate in audits, drills, and inspections to ensure readiness and adherence to security protocols.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 5+ years of experience in physical security, access control, or military/law enforcement.
- 2+ years in a supervisory or site lead role within a secure or classified environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of ICD 705, SCIF access procedures, and secure operations protocols.
- The incumbent in this position is required to complete the Tailored Adaptive Personality Assessment System (TAPAS) as part of the organization’s personnel assessment and placement process. The TAPAS assessment supports the evaluation of individual behavioral tendencies and work styles to ensure alignment with position requirements, mission objectives, and organizational values.
- Active Top Secret /SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.
- Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

- Proficient in MS Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with SCA-covered contracts and compliance with wage determinations.
- Prior service in the Intelligence Community, DoD, or as part of a federal security contractor environment.
- Experience with access control systems (e.g., Lenel, AMAG), visitor management systems (VMS), and visitor access protocols.
- Completion of relevant security or supervisory training, such as FEMA IS-100/200/700 or equivalent courses.
- Physical readiness to meet job requirements, including passing a physical and STEP test.
