CLASSIFICATION: Logistics Support Supervisor II

GRADE: Exempt; Regular Full-time

LOCATION: Building 956 / Eglin AFB, FL - On Site

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This position is responsible for performing and overseeing all work accomplished within the Logistics Section. Primary duties include the following. Evaluating and enforcing established procedures for the warehouse, records management, Hazmat, shipping and receiving, and turn-in sections. Setting and enforcing performance standards; identifying and correcting substandard performance. Conducting annual employee performance appraisals. Authoring or reviewing operating procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance. Tracking company training compliance and coordinating continued training for each section as required. Assigning representatives for VCO, Precious Metals, Reusable Containers, and Site Safety. Assisting with the determination of property classifications (shop stock, tracked material, tagged items, tools, COMSEC, and TMDE). Supporting the ongoing development and improvement of the Property Management Program. Assigning and scheduling work, including directive tasks, CDRL deliverables, and courier duties. Approving purchase requests, leave requests, and employee time sheets.- Supporting E-OMS operational objectives.

GENERAL DUTIES:

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide day-to-day leadership, direction, and support for up to 15 employees within the Logistics Section while reporting to Logistics Manager. Key duties include:
  • Overseeing the implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Recommend improvements to operation and operating procedures.
  • Conducting employee performance evaluations.
  • Providing employee coaching, development, and counseling for disciplinary issues.
  • Managing employee scheduling, absenteeism tracking, and timekeeping.
  • Supporting E-OMS operational objectives.

OTHER DUTIES: Additional duties may be assigned to support contract/mission support requirements in job related areas.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Applicant must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Formal education and training in leadership, management and/or supervision desired. Minimum 10 years supervisory and management experience required. Experience with PIEE (Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment) and Counterfeit Electronic Components desired. This position requires combination of education, experience, and level of supervisory responsibility. Qualified candidates will be evaluated based on the overall strength of their application package.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: This position must possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including professional email correspondence. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Supports E-OMS operational objectives. Observes and complies with all company Quality, Safety, Environmental, Security and Administrative policies. Supports Process Improvement initiatives and ensures compliance with applicable policies and regulations. Must have a valid driver's license and be capable of operating vehicles such as trucks and vans.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Generally required to work inside but may be required to work both inside and outside under a wide range of temperature and humidity.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position will be subject to substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Must be able to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal. May require sitting for long periods of time. Some lifting up to 50 lbs., standing, bending, stooping and climbing may be required.
