- Embedded S/W Engineer (Grand Prairie, TX)
[About the Role] Join Lockheed Martin's Missiles and Fire Control division as an Embedded Software Engineer, contributing to mission-critical missile programs. You will design, develop, and maintain real-time embedded C++ and DDS middleware software in a collaborative, high-impact environment. This is a full-time, onsite position (4/10A, 1st Shift) at our Grand Prairie, TX facility-offering the chance to work at the forefront of defense technology.
[Responsibilities]
- Analyze software requirements and develop robust embedded solutions for missile systems
- Design, implement, and integrate real-time C++ software and Data Distribution Service (DDS) middleware
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless device driver integration and system performance
- Test and validate embedded software to meet rigorous quality and security standards
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize software for reliability and scalability
[Required Skills and Experience]
- Current active Secret Clearance with recent investigation (within 5 years)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
- Proficient in real-time embedded C++ programming
- Hands-on experience with DDS middleware software
- Experience developing device driver software
[Preferred Skills]
- Linux operating systems proficiency
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Gitlab
