Role: Senior Cost Analyst
Location: Fort Walton Beach, FL
Compensation: $120,000 - $155,000 + Benefits
Clearance Requirements: Active Secret Clearance Required
Our Client is seeking a Senior Cost Analyst to support one of our large defense clients in Fort Walton Beach, FL. This role will support complex government programs through cost analysis, strategic pricing, financial modeling, and program-level estimating.
The Senior Cost Analyst will work closely with systems engineers, logisticians, program managers, and other stakeholders to turn complex technical requirements and historical data into accurate cost estimates and actionable recommendations.
Responsibilities
Develop Life Cycle Cost Estimates (LCCEs), Independent Cost Estimates (ICEs), and Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates
Apply multiple cost-estimating methodologies based on program requirements
Collect, verify, normalize, and analyze large historical datasets
Apply inflation indices, learning curves, and advanced risk and uncertainty distributions
Partner with systems engineers, logisticians, and program managers to understand technical specifications and program risks
Develop customized pricing and cost solutions for program stakeholders
Translate complex quantitative data and financial models into clear briefings and reports for senior leadership
Support cost analysis and strategic pricing activities in a fast-paced government environment
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience with cost analysis or strategic pricing
Experience developing LCCEs, ICEs, ROM estimates, or similar cost products
Knowledge of inflation and cost-estimating methodologies
Knowledge of Work Breakdown Structure regulatory procedures
Ability to collect, verify, and normalize large historical datasets
Experience applying inflation indices, learning curves, and advanced risk or uncertainty distributions
Ability to translate complex quantitative data and financial models into clear, actionable information
Education / Citizenship
Bachelor’s degree
U.S. Citizenship
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Earned Value Management applications
Experience with data visualization tools, including Microsoft Power BI or Tableau
Knowledge of cost-related Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) template development and modifications
