Job Description

Our client is seeking a Senior Security Specialist – Administrative for an upcoming proposal supporting the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Joint Program Office (JPO) Security Services Contract. This senior-level position serves as a subject matter expert (SME) across multiple security disciplines, providing independent execution, oversight, and guidance for security operations supporting a complex Department of Defense acquisition program.
The selected candidate will apply extensive security expertise to support government and contractor personnel, ensure compliance with applicable security policies and procedures, and provide senior-level guidance across security functions including personnel, program, physical, industrial, information, and international security activities. The role requires regular interaction with senior government leaders and stakeholders and the ability to brief complex security matters effectively. This position will be located in Arlington, VA. and is structured as a full-time, 40-hour-per-week role. An active DoD Top Secret clearance and Special Access Required (SAR) eligibility/access is required.

This is a proposal position and is contingent upon contract award, customer approval, and final staffing authorization.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide senior-level security expertise and support across multiple mission security disciplines.
• Advise government leadership on security policies, procedures, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Develop, review, and implement security processes to ensure compliance with Department of Defense and program requirements.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on security matters affecting program execution.
• Conduct security assessments, reviews, inspections, and compliance activities.
• Support security planning, policy development, program execution, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Prepare and deliver briefings, reports, and recommendations to senior government officials and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior and mid-level security personnel and provide subject matter expertise across assigned security functions.
• Support cross-functional teams to ensure security requirements are integrated into program activities.
• Track, analyze, and resolve security issues impacting program operations and mission objectives.

Required Qualifications
• Master's degree in a related discipline; OR
o Bachelor's degree and four (4) additional years of directly related experience may be substituted for a Master's degree.
• Minimum of ten years of experience performing work related to security management, security operations, or a closely related security discipline.
• Ability to independently perform complex security functions and provide senior-level security guidance.
• Experience supporting large-scale Department of Defense programs or comparable federal organizations.
• Specialized experience preparing and delivering briefings to senior executives, general officers, flag officers, or equivalent senior leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and resolve complex security issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance and Special Access Required (SAR) eligibility/access is required.
• Will be required to sign Letter of Intent.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting acquisition, aviation, defense, or weapons-system programs.
• Previous experience supporting the F-35 Joint Program Office or other major defense acquisition programs.
• Experience working in joint-service or multi-agency environments.
• Knowledge of National Industrial Security Program (NISP), personnel security, physical security, information protection, international security, and program protection activities.
• Experience leading security teams or security improvement initiatives.
