Additional information
- Collect soiled or contaminated linen from all wards and clinics within the main hospital facility, outlying medical clinics.
- Prepare specific disaster carts and ensure they are readily available.
- Placing linen in proper storage location and is managed and tracked.
- Conduct periodic inventory assessment of cart composition and preparation plan that will allow carts to be delivered at a moment's notice.
- Weigh each bin of laundry and linen.
- Participate in annual linen inventory of the hospital and outlying clinics to determine the amount of linen that is lost, pilfered, surveyed or still in rotation.
- Operate a box tuck with enclosed bed and 2,000lb liftgate.
- Perform quality performance of all services provided.
- Deliver clean linen and pick up soiled linen to outlying clinics and hospital on a scheduled basis.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
- This position has mandatory seasonal Influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal Influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).
- This position requires the incumbent to have Tuberculosis testing.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- Moderate to heavy lifting up to 50 pounds may be required.
- This position has been designated Mission Essential. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations, the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Employee shifts are rotated on a regularly scheduled basis.
- This position may require the incumbent to work on call during irregular work hours which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or varying work schedules.

- Physical Effort: Perform work on hard surfaces in work areas that require stooping, bending, and standing for prolonged periods. Lifting and pushing. Wearing protective clothing, masks, and gowns.
- Working Conditions: High heat and humidity during the summer, cold and drafty during the winter. Occasionally inadequate lighting. Exposure to these conditions are infrequent and never for any prolonged periods.
