Job Description
This position is CONTINGENT on contract award. The Aircraft Mechanic III - Site Lead / Lead Mechanic is a working lead responsible for day-to-day site leadership and technical oversight of S&K personnel performing F-15E TCTO modification and related maintenance at Mountain Home AFB, ID or Seymour Johnson AFB, NC. The position also performs, supervises, and inspects complex maintenance/modification work.

A sample of duties include, but are not limited to:
- Lead assigns work and manages site personnel while remaining a working Aircraft Mechanic III on the primary day shift.
- Perform, supervise, and inspect F-15E TCTO modification, maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and documentation.
- Plan and prioritize Contractor work, coordinate aircraft flow/status with the COR and designated Government personnel, and maintain Contractor direction of S&K personnel.
- Provide technical guidance and resolve or elevate technical, quality, safety, staffing, and production issues.
- Verify required Safe-for-Maintenance conditions and oversee Tool Control, FOD, training/qualification status, and maintenance documentation.
- Perform or supervise qualified fiber optic work and designate qualified off-shift Leads when required.
- Support TDY operations and other task-order duties within assigned qualifications.
- Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft maintenance/modification, inspection, technical data, and documentation requirements.
- Ability to lead personnel, prioritize work, coordinate schedules, and communicate effectively with the Government customer and S&K management.
- Ability to apply technical orders, TCTOs, drawings, workbooks, and other approved data and provide technical guidance to lower-level mechanics.
- Ability to maintain accurate maintenance, staffing, qualification, and status information required for task-order execution.
Experience
- Minimum of ten (10) years of aircraft maintenance experience, or equivalent relevant experience, is required.
- Experience leading aircraft maintenance/modification teams and providing technical guidance is required.
- Experience performing, supervising, and inspecting complex aircraft maintenance/modification is required; F-15 or comparable fighter-aircraft experience is preferred.
Licenses & Certifications
- Must have a valid state driver's license when required by assignment and be able to obtain required flightline/equipment operator authorization.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and possess and maintain a SECRET or interim SECRET security clearance, including applicable Tier 3, CAC, restricted-area badge, and system-access requirements.
- Must complete and maintain contract-required site, safety, security, and technical training/certifications applicable to assigned duties.
- Before beginning contract work, must meet the contract-required fiber optic qualification for installation, cleaning, inspection, testing, and technical oversight. Qualification may be demonstrated through formal training records, verified relevant hands-on/platform experience, or successful contractor practical evaluation.
- Must be willing and able to support TDY, including potential overseas travel, and obtain required travel documents when applicable.
